Military Helicopters Called in for “Medal of Honor Society Convention”

BROOKLINE—An email was sent to all Boston University students yesterday to inform them of the expected presence of military helicopters in the Boston area in the coming days. The military helicopters have been called in for the Medal of Honor Society convention  which will be taking place until Friday September 18th.“The military helicopters have been called in for the Medal of Honor Society convention,” said Brookline Town Clerk, Patrick Ward, before wiping the sweat off his brow.Several students have been unsettled by the email, including Justin Radcliffe (CAS ‘17).“No one around here is really used to the military being around here, so this is a little unusual for everyone. I honestly haven’t even seen a single soldier or veteran in Boston in a long time,” Radcliffe explained.“The Medal of Honor Society convention is a celebration of all local decorated veterans in the Boston area and that is why the military helicopters are here,” reiterated the sweat drenched Ward.“Wait a minute,” Radcliffe added.Recent Brookline resident Barry Stockman (COM '16) expressed similar concerns.“I don’t know if this has anything to do with anything, but I was walking home the other day and when I passed that fence they built in Brookline a hail fire of bullets came down on me. I don’t think that usually happens,” Stockman confessed.“I think I’ve said what I need to say and there’s no reason to continue this interview,” said Ward.At press time, a military pilot entered Ward’s office and said, “Sir, we need to refuel in the next hour.” .
